Dr. Colin Amundsen is a field-archaeologist, ichthyologist, podcaster, and an on-again off-again entrepreneur. Colin graduated from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York in 2008. He has worked throughout much of the North Atlantic over a 18-year career focusing on pre-Industrial commercialized fishing, culture contact, and ethnicity.
For the past eight years, he has worked assisting and managing archaeological projects for the University Tromsø Museum, the University of Bergen Museum, and the Archaeological Museum of Stavanger. Much of his work has taken place in the extreme setting of the arctic and alpine regions and along the coast of the Barents and the North Sea.
After living abroad for several years, Colin has settled down in the small fishing village of Tenants Harbor on the coast of Maine. It is here he spends his time working in the community, fixing up his house and having adventures with his girlfriend Allison and Indie, the dog.
